What People Are Saying

"It is a great pleasure to learn from ace polar explorer Ine-Lill on this expedition. Her experience and lessons learned will certainly be helpful in the future.

In the tent, it feels like a mother is caring. This is something I will love to remember forever, inter alia."

Neerjai crossing Greenland

“Ine-Lill ploughed ahead like a character in a Jack London novel from Frontier Canada. With the rifle slung over her shoulder, a flash gun pistol on her waist and a climbing harness full of hardware she was the real deal pioneer woman.”

James Baxter – Newton summit – Svalbard

Ine-Lill was a fantastic guide for our month long crossing of the Greenland Ice Cap. Her experience kept the team functioning well during the trip both in the good and tough times. I would highly recommend Ine-Lill as an expedition guide for trips big and small. Also no one can give better advice on keeping the equipment weight low’

A few of the bold expeditions of Ine-Lill

Rowing the full length of the norwegian coast

Having already cycled and skied from south to north in Norway, in 2023 Ine-Lill set out rowing. This time with Rita Glenne and in a traditional clinker-built fishing boat named Lofotr. Stunning landscapes, challenging weather conditions, plenty of wildlife - and above all meeting many warm and hospitable people along the way.

Antarctica and Mt Vinson

In 2008, Ine-Lill Hjelm Gabrielsen and Rita Glenne set out on an extraordinary expedition: first climbing Mt. Vinson, the highest peak in Antarctica, and then becoming the first ever to ski unsupported from its base all the way to the South Pole – a 1,300 km journey. Without a guide, they braved storms, crevasses, heavy snow, and extreme time pressure, carving a brand-new route that stood out as the longest new Antarctic route that year.

Aconcagua

In 2006/07, Ine-Lill’s team was the only rope party to climb the direct route up Polskebreen to the summit of Aconcagua.. Fierce wind and heavy snowfall turned the ascent into a 17-day struggle, with a two-day summit push and a bivouac at 6,200 meters before reaching the top.
